Boating on the Bow

This is what folk do in Calgary when it's hot...blow up the inflatables and float down the Bow. Right now the river is running a little high and it's maybe not the smartest time to do this...but it's fun. The Bow River flows right through the center of downtown...though I can't imagine ending up in the middle of downtown dressed like this!

  2. It's that colour because it's glacial meltwater from the Rocky Mountains. It has lots of rock flour in it that refracts the light. you should see the colour of some of the lakes out here - an intense electric blue that is hard to believe.
