These are the old glasshouses at the University of Calgary. The day after I took this picture Calgary was hit by a huge hailstorm with golfball sized hail and all the glass in these and the new glasshouses was smashed. Hundreds of thousands of dollars of damage in about three minutes. There's a video on You-tube.
That is very scary! We had a bad lightning storm here over the weekend and one of my daughter's neighbors lost their barn when a huge bolt of lightning hit it and it burned to the ground. Thankfully no animals were in there.
