Street Art Sunday - Airport Horse
Street Art Sunday #9
This giant horse stands in the Kananaskis departure hall at the Calgary International airport. He is one of my favourite pieces of street art in the city. It's those rich colours and the effect of patchwork fields tattooed all over his body I think.

Reminds me of the Trojan horse. It looks really huge in this perspective.
ReplyDeleteI suppose it IS huge! I love all the red here, airports are usually such dreary places, this has got to make one smile even if the flight is delayed!
ReplyDeleteOh that is nice!
ReplyDeleteThe horse looks fantastic! I like the angle too.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of Street Art as a meme! Yours is a great photo, chick! :)
ReplyDeleteIndeed, very interesting and beautiful art! Superb capture!
ReplyDeleteRegards!

Is that its real name or your name? Regardless, the colours are really nice and rich... brightens up the place I am sure... and big... nice picture of it.... would be nice to see more.
ReplyDeleteAt first sight, it looks a bit like a children's coin-operated amusement in a shopping mall — to sit on and ride while it bucks.
ReplyDeleteHe's spectacular!
ReplyDeleteShaun...I'm not sure which name you mean. I forgot to check for an inscription - I was catching a flight. Kananaskis is the name of a beautiful area of moutains in the foothills of the Rockies.
