Summer In The City

Snow last weekend...Caribbean Sunshine this weekend! That's Calgary for you.
On Saturday we had glorious weather and I biked downtown to go join in the fun at Carrifest in Olympic Plaza. Carrifest is an annual celebration of all things Carribean...green and gold shirts were out in abundance. Jamaicans are very proud of their country.
I spotted this gentleman in the crowd enjoying the music - a steel band playing what could almost be regarded as the Don't Worry, Be Happy. I loved his bright, happy shirt!

  1. It is a lovely shirt! I love all of your recent photos with which I have just caught up!
Thanks for your comment. I wish I had seen the naked cyclists-there would have been pictures if I had! It does sound like a painful thing to do though-at least the knotters looked fairly comfortable!

  8. wow snow and sun is a good combination. I am jealous as all we are getting is scorching sun and a few drops of rain and loads n loads of humidity.

I like the red shirt too.

  12. Like the shirt! The colors and design is kinda similar (to me) to some of our ethnic clothes.
